1. Use of ”JAF Navi"

1.1 Scope of Application

"JAF NAVI" is managed and operated by the Japan Automobile Federation (hereinafter referred to as "JAF"). These Terms of Use set forth the conditions and  precautions for using this site, and apply to all users. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using this website, ensure that you understand and agree to them, and use this website at your own risk. By using this site, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms of Use.

1.2 Changes to the Terms

JAF may revise, add to, modify, or abolish these Terms without prior notice or consent. The revised Terms shall take effect upon being posted on this site.

2. About this Website

2.1 Services provided

2.1.1 Type of service
The services provided on this site are as follows:
- JAF preferential facility information search service
- Provision of information related to driving
- Event reservation and payment service (Japan only）

2.1.2 Changes or cancellations of services
JAF reserves the right, at its discretion, to revise, add to, change, or abolish the services provided on this website and its content, and to suspend or completely terminate this website without notice. JAF shall not be liable for any damages arising from such actions.

2.1.3 Scope of services provided
(1) Use of this website is limited to the user's personal by the user.
(2) This website is limited to use within Japan.
(3) Some services on this website are provided only to members as defined in Article 3 of these Terms and Conditions.

2.1.4 Information on Preferential Facilities
(1) The discount information and all accompanying notices (hereinafter referred to as "discount information") available on this website are services provided by the discount facilities, and display information confirmed by those facilities. JAF assumes no responsibility for any accidents resulting from use. Please check directly with the discount facility you intend to use.
(2) Even if a user suffers damage due to the information provided on this site, JAF shall not be held liable in any way except in cases where JAF intentional misconduct or gross neglogence.
(3) JAF shall not be liable for any damages incurred by users due to changes, cancellations, or abolition of the preferential treatment information displayed on this website, except in cases of JAF's willful misconduct or gross negligence.

3. Members

"Member" in these Terms and Conditions refers to a JAF member who has completed the membership renewal procedures set forth in the JAF membership regulations and has been made a valid member by paying membership fees.
*This refers to all members, including individual members, family members, and corporate members.

4. Disclaimers and Prohibited Items on this Site

4-1 Disclaimer

Use of this website is at the user's own risk.

(1) JAF takes great care when posting information on this website, but makes no guarantees whatsoever regarding the accuracy, completeness, appropriateness of update times, suitability for a particular purpose, or normal operation on a computer of the posted information or the services on this website.
(2) JAF will not compensate for any errors in the information posted or any damages incurred in connection with the use of this website, regardless of the reason.
(3) JAF shall not be liable for any damages arising from changes to the information posted on this website or from the temporary suspension or interruption or cessation of operation of this website.

(5) Any act that violates laws and regulations, or any act that is linked to an act that violates laws and regulations, or any act that includes content that could lead to such an act.
(6) Providing content related to politics, religion, ideology, or beliefs.
(7) Providing information that is false or may be false.
(8) Commercial use or secondary use of this website by the user or a third party.
(9) Any commercial activity or any activity intended to prepare for such activity through or in connection with this site without the approval of JAF.
(10) Any act that interferes with the operation of this site or damages the credibility of this site.
(11) Any other act that JAF deems necessary to be prohibited.

5. Copyright, etc.

5-1 Copyright

(1) All intellectual property rights (including copyrights, trademarks, and other rights) related to all programs, software, screen information, trademarks, logos, and other elements that make up this site belong to JAF or to those who have granted JAF permission to use them.
(2) Users may download content, save data on their personal computers, and print it for personal use. However, they may not reproduce it on other websites or in print media, nor use it for commercial purposes. In addition, users may not use the content without the permission of the copyright holder, except as permitted under the Copyright Act.

5-2 Map data

(1) The member benefit information service uses Mapbox content and functionality. By using this service, you are deemed to have agreed to the Mapbox Terms of Use ( https://www.mapbox.jp/legal/tou ).
(2) The service providing information about driving uses content and functionality from Google Maps. By using this service, you agree to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Use ( https://maps.google.com/help/terms_maps/ ) and the Google Privacy Policy ( https://policies.google.com/privacy ).

6. Personal Information

JAF will appropriately protect and manage customers’ personal information obtained through this system in accordance with the JAF Personal Information Protection Policy and JAF’s Handling of Personal Information. For more details, please refer to the links below:

7. Liability for Damages

If JAF incurs damages as a result of a user's violation of these Terms and Conditions, the user shall be liable to compensate JAF for such damages.
Furthermore, if any dispute with a third party arises due to a violation of these Terms and Conditions, the user shall resolve the matter at their own responsibility and expense and shall ensure that no damage or adverse impact is caused to JAF.

8. Other

8-1 Paid Advertising

This website may include various advertisements and promotional content. Any transactions or dealings with advertisers featured in such advertisements and promotions are solely between the user and the advertiser.
JAF shall not be held liable for any damages arising from or related to these advertisements, promotions, or associated transactions.

8-2 Links

In principle, you are free to link to this website. However, please comply with the following rules:

8-3 Jurisdiction

Any doubts regarding these Terms and Conditions or disputes related to this website shall be resolved through good-faith negotiations between the parties. If an amicable resolution cannot be reached, the Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.

8-4 Governing Law

The formation, validity, performance, and interpretation of these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Japan.
